Lessen the impact of network or communication outages by  continuing to accept payments on your EFTPOS terminal

Offline mode on your EFTPOS terminal

Offline mode allows your EFTPOS terminal to continue processing payments when it can’t connect to the payments network due to a network outage or communication error.

It does this by creating Electronic Offline Vouchers (EOV) and storing the payments to upload to the payments network later. Once a successful connection has been restored, the terminal will automatically send stored offline transactions through for processing.

Continue taking payments without a hitch even in an outage.

Making payments easy with Offline mode

No disruption to payments

Continue taking payments during an outage. Your transactions are stored securely until the EFTPOS terminal goes back "online" again

Activates automatically

If the terminal can't connect to the payment network, this mode activates automatically to provide emergency payment processing continuity

Transactions processed securely

The terminal attempts to go back online every 10 minutes. Once successful it will automatically upload the stored transactions for processing

How to get setup with Offline mode

Your merchant bank controls the enabling or disabling of Electronic Offline Vouchers (EOV). Check with your merchant bank what rules they have around using EOV, and to confirm if EOV is enabled for you.
