1. Power On – Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the screen backlight comes on. If the terminal is turned on successfully, the PAX logo will appear on screen and you will hear a beep.
2. Allow the terminal to automatically run through its “Boot Cycle”. If the terminal had previously been set up to access your Wi-Fi, it will attempt to reconnect automatically.
3. If the terminal had not been previously connected to your Wi-Fi or if you had changed your Wi-Fi network since the last time the terminal logged on, the terminal will display:
Wi-Fi *** Cannot connect, Try again?

4. Select NO by pressing the Orange button on the screen or the Yellow ‘clear’ Key.
5. The terminal will ask “WIFI COMMS not configured, configure now?”

6. Select yes by clicking on the screen or pressing the green button.
7. Press 1 for Wi-Fi.

8. Press yes to scan for access points. The terminal will display all the Wi-Fi networks that it finds.

9. Press the number with the name of your Wi-Fi network.
10. If the terminal has connected to a network with that name before, it will ask to connect or configure, Press configure to change the password.
11. Enter the WPA/WEP Password for your chosen Wi-Fi Network (eg Password1234)

12. To access upper or lower case letters and symbols, press the corresponding number key, then tap the Alpha button till you find the correct letter and case. Symbols are located on the zero key. Press the green enter button once completed.
13. The terminal will display the following messages:
Searching for network
Connecting to network
- The terminal will connect to the Wi-Fi and will display the Wi-Fi Network Name.
- The terminal will then finish startup to the normal screen.
- Run a manual logon (Alpha>logon) at this point to ensure the terminal is ready for use.
- You can change Wi-Fi settings by cancelling to the app manager menu, pressing menu, 1 CONFIG > 2 or 3 for Comms > 1 Wi-Fi
