If the GPRS connection is disrupted (e.g. a One NZ network outage) we recommend you switch to using a Wi-Fi connection if available. To do this, please follow these steps:
1. Reboot the terminal by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds. While rebooting, keep pressing the FUNC key repeatedly to enter the App Manager menu. If you see ‘CURRENTLY LOADING SIM’, reboot the terminal and try again.
2. Once the terminal has rebooted successfully a ‘PAX’ logo will appear on screen and you’ll hear a beep.
3. Press 1 for Config > 3 for Comms > 1 for Wi-Fi.
4. The terminal will say ‘WIFI COMMS – SCAN FOR ACCESS POINTS?’ > press ‘YES’.

5. Select your Wi-Fi network with the corresponding number on the keypad.
6. If this network is already saved on the terminal, press ‘Connect’.
7. If you’re adding this network for the first time you’ll see ‘WIFI CONFIG ENTER WPA KEY’. Input your Wi-Fi password now. To type the password, press the corresponding number key for each letter, then the ALPHA key repeatedly after each letter to select the right letter and case. Special characters/symbols can be added with the 0 key.
8. Press the green enter button once completed.
9. The terminal will ask “Use DHCP?”. Select Yes and the terminal will connect and reboot.

10. During the restart, the terminal will ask ‘TMS Host Config?’ Press ‘OK’.
11. Once back to the normal screen, run a manual logon (Alpha>logon) and the terminal will be ready for use.
