Turn off Customer Receipts

If you would like to turn off receipt printing to save paper and the costs of additional paper rolls, we have the following options available:

Standalone (Not POS Integrated) Terminals

By default, the EFTPOS terminal machine will print a merchant copy of the receipt. After this, you will be prompted to print the customer copy. You can choose not to print the customer copy by saying “No.”

If you’d like to set the terminal to not prompt for customer receipt, Please call our 24/7 technical helpdesk on 0800 476 278 so we can configure this for you.

Please note, that the merchant receipt cannot be disabled as it’s a legal requirement for this to be printed.

POS Integrated Terminals

If you are using an integrated EFTPOS solution, you can change how your terminal prints both merchant and customer receipts. Follow the instructions below to edit your terminal printer settings.

For Merchant Receipt

From the idle screen:

  • Select Menu (or FUNC)
  • Select Quick Access.
  • Select Receipts.
  • Select Merchant Receipt.
  • Enter the last 4 digits of the terminal’s serial number.
  • Press the clear button to change between the desired options. (Enabled/Disabled)
  • Press enter to save the desired option. (either Enabled or Disabled)

For Customer Receipt

From the idle screen:

  • Select Menu (or FUNC)
  • Select Quick Access.
  • Select Receipts.
  • Select Customer Receipt.
  • Press the clear button to change between the desired options. (Enabled/Promp/Disabled)
  • Press enter to save the desired option. (either Enabled, Prompt or Disabled)
