What are the costs of taking card payments?
The good news is that EFTPOS is a cost-effective option for almost any business, with just three main costs:
Leasing a terminal
With Smartpay, you’ll pay a competitive fixed monthly cost for your terminal. Most leases are long-term, but short-term rental is also an option. By leasing you don’t have to worry about keeping up to date with compliance and software updates
Connecting to a EFTPOS Network
It costs $14.00 per month plus GST to connect to the Paymark network.
Merchant service fees
These are fees associated for having a merchant facility and accepting a card payment.
You’ll pay a fee on each credit card transaction (on average 2-4% of the transaction value but this varies based on industry and the amount of transactions you put through). There’s no charge for each debit or EFTPOS card transaction. For details, talk to your Merchant bank.

Assuming you already have your merchant account, and are not in a rural delivery area, we could have a terminal to you and up and running in as little as 2 working days once we have your signed agreement.
