China is a key growth market for NZ tourists and also accounts for many of our international students. Mobile payments are the preferred payment method for Chinese people on holidays and trips abroad.

Smartpay makes it seamless to accept Alipay and WeChat Pay

  • Process QR code transactions on your Smartpay terminal the same way you already do for other card payments.  A QR code appears on your terminal for your customer to scan, in the similar way to how they are used to in China. Your customer accepts the transaction on their mobile. They benefit from paying in their own currency, and they can see the transaction in their own language. You get settled in NZ dollars by Smartpay to your NZ bank account so you don’t need to worry about currency conversion.
  • To make the QR option available it can be as simple as an update to your terminal software.  This solution can also be integrated with compatible Point of Sale systems.
